Exciting News! #VoithCares is making an enduring impact by providing 23 bicycles to underprivileged children in India! Thanks to the collaboration between Voith, the Hanns Voith Foundation and our dedicated team member Marion Jooss from the Corporate Branding & Strategy department, we were able to provide bicycles to 23 underprivileged children in the poor region of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. This initiative is breaking barriers, enabling these children to attend school and filling a crucial gap for families unable to afford public transport.Marion Jooss, along with her family, has been a consistent advocate for children in need, orphaned children, and disadvantaged individuals in Ahmednagar for many years. Teaming up with the nonprofit organization Inki4help e.V. in Mönchengladbach, and their friend Sanjay Adhav, they've ensured that vital funds and materials reach local nonprofit organizations, directly benefiting the children. Last year, their collective efforts resulted in the donation of 400 schoolbags to underprivileged children as part of the #VoithCares program. The poverty in this region of India continues to pose challenges for children's access to education, limiting their potential. At #Voith, we take immense pride in our commitment to positive change and the embrace of social responsibility through our #VoithCares program. Education is the cornerstone of a brighter future, and our mission is to empower these children to realize their dreams. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this project! Your active participation has not only made a tangible difference but has also played a crucial role in making our world a little better. Together, we are creating lasting, positive change! As part of the #VoithCares program, Voith and the Hanns Voith Foundation annually award financial support to a select number of employee-nominated social projects and nonprofits they volunteer for.
